Go get'em Michele. I bet the car feels different now! Did you heat cycle/scrub in the tires?

Michele-

The first time you drive on these you'll notice that they "thump" a bit. Don't worry about it, it's just what V700's do when you are braking them in. In transitional stuff they will slide a bit and then grip. They are quite progressive too so the car shouldn't "snap oversteer" or anyting like that. Have fun!

You will also have a tendency to turn in too soon and to underdrive the turns. The difference is noticable! It won't be magic but they will be faster. You'll enjoy them, a lot!

Yuhh huhh. It is magic. Magic and mojo, it's what makes you faaaast.

True about the under-driving going to stickies the first time. It's worse going from R-comps to street tires in A/X though. I over drive my cars for the first run when I play with them on street tires late in the season. Gotta back that isht up a bit.

kumho's tires own ive never had any trouble with any of they're tires.... The company isnt very well known by consumers like nitto and goodyear and stuff are but they're quality is well worth the extra dollar and they're treadwear ratings are GR8!

that tread pattern looks weird!

dolphin
03-26-2006, 09:01 PM
What is weird about it? It seems like a normal victoracer V700.

i've never seen victoracers before. that tread pattern reminds me of that episide of south park when god appears.
"what did you expect him to look like?"
"well not like that!"

If you look here:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=VictoRacer+V700

There are some better pictures of the tread.

If you look at the other competition tires, you will see most of them have a strange tread pattern.

heyyyy

the new tires are amazing. the car felt totally different. i kept pushing and pushing the tires more and more to see if i could find their limit, but i never did. which was surprising. i am completely satisfied with them and i cant wait till the next event. ill let you all know once the pictures are posted.

Good deal. I am glad you like the tires. Did our earlier comments about turn-in etc help you any? Did you get any rubbing? I wouldn't expect you got, much if any.

Did you clean up on some of thsose other folks that used to be ahead of you?

Well Michele, it looks like those tires really helped out. The results look like you jumped up about 20+ positions more or less. I guess the Kumho's agree with you and the car.

I am waiting on the results from yesterday's event. One of the other people told me that I won the street tire class. I don't know I was teaching a new guy with an RX-8. Fun car by the way.

I'm not sure how the runs work down there but only 2 runs for you and no cones... U need to push harder...lol

nice placing BTW good job... I ordered 205/50-15 victoracers for my Mazda millenium rims 15x6 50mm offset, they are only 11.5 lbs each... can you say spin me baby :D
