ok so here the story...

about 6 months ago the car sucked water in through the CAI and blew a piston. Well yesterday and today I swapped engines.

NOW that the engine is connected to the transaxle, the crank / flywheel doesn't want to turn.. also the starter spins when not mounted to the transaxle, but it just clanks when mounted. now I checked the drive shaft before mounting the engine... at least to a point... I watched the drive shaft and its inner shaft while someone turned the driver side hub (with the car in drive) and nothing happened, but when they turned the passenger siden hub the inner shaft turned... I dont know if that has any bearing on the situation or not...

I need HELP.. no money to spare and I need this car back on the road ASAP...

thanks for anyhelp...

To be honest. I would need to see the situation. Its hard to try and diag over the net.

I would assume you got something jammed up inside the tranny when you put the axles back in. If the engine and tranny spun free when you bolted up the flywheel, and now its not when you put those axles in, you binding up something.

Ok so I put a jack unde rthe trans and a jack under the engine... unbolted them and pulled the engine off the drive shaft... leveled everything out the best I could... started pushing the engine back into polace, barely turning the crank each time.. FINALLY it went together and I coukld still turn the crank... hooked everything back up... It fired on the first try.. (dance)

only problem now is the heat shield dust plate is rubbing a little bit so you get an annoying chirping noise.. but even thats wearing away to nothing the more I run it.. soo.. anyways... I'm happy now!!!
