Today my car died. the intake manifould was corrupted some how causing the vaulves to go bad. they said that there was a recallbut my car missed it by 6 months. they also said that my warranty is up by miles but not by time so they are going to see if mazda will cover it with the warranty anyways. i hope.... their servece manager said that he thinks they will cover it up. so i cant wait. any ways they gave me a free rental even though i do not have a warranty. witch is cool a mazda 6 they are pretty cool to bad its not the mazda speed 6. but you cant get it all. well please pray for my mazda. thanks chris (bang)

I don't think you can miss a recall, can you? They recalled it, it broke related to the recall, they owe you a motor, I think.
I could be wrong.

I'm going through the same situation right now. I hope they fix it without me paying anything.

the reason why i problly never heard of it is because i am deployed all the time and i am the second owner but my dealer ship should of taken care of it.

Sucks. Well look at the good side. There is a vendor selling intake manifolds right now. Search it

It's actually the screws on the intake manifold that come loose. I had the same problem, and it kept slamming spark plugs on cylinder #4 shut. Took it to the dealership after the recall, and they hooked it up, no problems since. Watch, no it will happen again because I said something, LOL. I'm glad you got your's done even though the warranty was expired, I got mine in with 2K to spare, otherwise I might have been SOL with the way the local dealers here are.
