I know of someone who had the p5/03msp bra on their 03.5, and im not sure of who it was, but whoever it is, could you post a pic?

I tried the search button, didnt help me much. I believe it was a sunlight silver, or titsilver msp

never put a bra on a car. bad idea. been there made that mistake twice. Dirt gets trapped under neath them, it moves around as you drive = scratches.

a visor that doesn't touch the paint is much better for the hood.

Bras are for girls not cars. There had to say it, no one else had. I've worked detailing cars and when people ask you to remove the bra to wash it, it never looks pretty underneath. You have to put it back to hide the damage.

Well....lets see...first...I aint no girl..and I wear my bra proudly...I want to see someone try to remove it! I am the owner of a Pewter metallic MSP. I had the car sprayed this color, used to be Spicy. It is a daily driver, and after few months, the new paint started to chip in the front. After a respray, I thought I would use RockBlocker to protect the front. After mulling over install and cost issues, I purchased my bra instead. I have had bras in the past, as long as you take care of the paint underneath,i.e, wax, frequent wash, etc., front masks are best for protecting your paint. (pow)

how'd you manage to paint it? eg:$, they paint the entire thing including frame etc? or just what could be visually seen?

The car had minor body damage when I bought it. Paint definately needed work. Had complete color change done w/2 stage Dupont. I love the bra....it has saved the front from paint chips. The car is almost show quality exterior-wise.

Gravel, gravel, and more gravel. At 100+mph for 3 hours, its like getting sandblasted driving on the highways here this time of year. I took it all back off today to wash her and she didnt have one spec of damage anywhere. (cheers)

I had to make a 25-30min. trip to the dealership Friday morning, doing about 75... On the trip back I start hearing little tings hitting my car and notice I'm following a dirty construction truck.. so I had to hurry and pass him, but it was too late. When I got to work I saw the damage... several rock chips on the hood, front bumper and even one on the driver side front quarter!! And a small piece of my grille is now broken! (pissed)

So yeah, I'm kinda considering some kind of bra for when I have to make those kind of trips, or a hood deflector.. Any suggestions?

I plan on picking one up ASAP so i can stop worrying about it.

Thanks for the link. That's something I'm gonna have to consider, with all the construction around the area..

Check out the warranty info though...

What is covered? 3M warrants Scotchgard Paint Protection Film will be free of defects in materials and manufacture--including yellowing, bubbling, or cracking--for five (5) years from date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse, accident, misapplication, or ordinary wear, nor does it apply to dents caused by physical impact of rocks or road debris. Some installers may choose to offer, on their own behalf, different or additional warranties or remedies, beyond the warranty and limited remedies offered by 3M.

Isn't that the point of getting this in the first place?

Someone who actually reads the warranty...awesome! looks like they will not be held liable for any damage that may occur when this is installed. To be fair, a regular bra wont protect an impact of a larger rock/object, either. I think anything us MSP owners use is better protection than nothing at all, as Nato and me found out.

hey earful i see the bra on your msp in the sig.......do you still have your 2003.5 lip? im looking for a solution to the rock problem. a bra is not something i would ever have on my car unless im taking trips. in the past 2 months ive taken trips to austin, san antonio and dallas. all 3 trips my car was extremely clean except my front end was completely frosted with dirt and bugs. so i just need a solution for my road trips (ill be making a 1100 round trip journey to west texas in a month) so my entire car will look nice once i get to my destination.

I have a 03 front end, no lip. Did have stock wind deflector, had to remove to fit the bra. Mine looks like it might fit your car. Definately coming into Bug season here too...
