Has anybody run across a set of door edge guards that look ok?

My garage has some white painted wood cabinets really close on the driver's side and both doors on that side rub against it when we get in or out. Every other car we've had in that garage did the same thing and nothing bad happened to either the cabinets or the car. However, on the P5 the car's blue paint is rubbing off the very edge of those doors and onto the cabinets. So some sort of door edge guard strip is needed. Google turned up a bunch of really ugly stuff, either chunky looking plastic or shiny metal strips.

well when it comes to those edge guards no matter what they're not gonna look that cool. but if you're looking for "ok" i suggest you buy whatever and just color match them to your car so they don't stand out that much and then put them on. primer, paint, and clear generously so they don't rub off and they should hold up.

you can get the mazda3 ones (if it has a color that's the same as your car) and cut them to fit.... or I can try to get you ones meant for the BJ from japan... regardless, that dealer shit ain't cheap!

burn the cabinets and buy some upper storage shelves with what you save on your heating bill.

There were door edge guards sold for the BJ as an accessory here I thought?

Wait couldn't you get something made out of the clear 3M film like RockBlocker uses for their paint and headlight protection?

Door edge guards look bad. Attach something soft to the cabinets in your garage.
