View Full Version : Installed my Injen CAI

Thanks to ExNeon for selling me his Injen CAI. It was finally a nice day out so i installed it.. It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be.

That big ass blue hose still dominates the engine though. I think its very nice looking and I am happy that I bought it.

Still waiting on my Vac line hose kit to come it to replace all the shitty cracked hoses..This is pretty much my last big mod for a while until i save up the cash for an exhaust

I probably need to put some foam or rubber around that hole that the CAI goes through.

damn it, i want turkey. i never got it after installing my AEM CAI. that can't be good. turkey means everything is working fine in an msp. i demand the turkey!!

i have the loudest turkey ever! I am going with the samco ic pipe also, mine will be black though. looks good, now just slap a Vibrant Performance exhaust on it and call it a day.

Exactly!!! I wnated black but they didnt have any in stock and I wasnt waiting several months..

I really havent noticed any giant gains with the Samco pipe. Of course my back end is still bottled up with stock exhaust. Seems my turbo is spooling better/faster and my throttle response is better. I did see a .5 gain on my boost gauge. But that could be from the hose or SMIC.

Welcome to turkey world! No doubt the smic increased your boost. I bet it doesn't fall of like before either. Get a downpipe and you'll discover even better performance. The Racing Beat muffler is not the problem as much as the piping before it.

that would be from the smic, you won't really see gains from the ic hose, but it should feel smoother and the tb response should be a little better
