Whre to place EGT

I might be getting a deal on a zeitronix and I would like to know where and should I place the EGT probe.

I've seen people put it into the #2 cylinder exhaust runner.

I've seen people put it into the #2 cylinder exhaust runner.
That would mean modifying the original manifold and kissing goodbye warranty.
I guess if I cannot go in downpipe then I will probably not use it.
