just wondering if Koni makes any shocks for our car.....I swear I saw them somewhere, but can't remember where I found them and Koni's website doesn't list our car, and is there any advantage to the Koni's over the Tokico Illumina's? Thanks for the help.

Those are koni inserts. You have to open up your stock shocks and put them in there. If you are looking at inserts I would talk to AWR http://www.awrracing.com/ and see what they can do for you.
If you talk to crossover auto find out what insert they use. I do not recall any 5-way adjustable koni inserts but I dont know much about the inserts.
I found a generic set of insert instructions on the koni website.

A long term project I have going is matching a Koni insert to the OEM strut body. I have a spare one laying around to use, but I haven't removed the Tokico insert yet.

I talked to them last night and forgot to check back on here.....they are the inserts, and he said they are a real PITA to install......said it's not worth the extra cash just to have the name Koni on it......there is a lot of cutting/grinding/welding, etc. that has to be done in order to make it work......guess it's Illuminas for me

According to Koni, they of course will not build a set for our cars because Mazda screwed them over on the MP3/MSP deal. They did tell me that there is a reputable company in California who is designing an insert set that should be available this summer.
However,
Koni vs. Tokico = Koni.
Koni vs. almost anything else = anything else.
Consider Ohlins, Penske or revalved adjustable Bilsteins.

I'd like to get some Bilstein inserts from AWR this summer, I just have no idea on the cost...
