Yes, but you can just swap them out, that's what I did on mine (2 gauge one, I doubt they are different)

Helps if you have some sort of adhesive though.

The autometer 3 gauge pillar actually takes place of the stock one. Here's the deal guy's. I need the stock one so i can keep my gauges and put them in my new car. Its brand new with no blemishes.
