well i have a msp and i have the stock kenwood headunit on it.. my sub/amp blew out 3 times and now i dont have warranty so i cant even get that fixed but this is the first time where my head unit broke. i just turned my car on like any other day and then went to press the button to make a cd play then all of a sudden the little screen on the head unit just blacks out and it goes into the "eject cd" position.. actually, this has happened before but i fixed it by pressing the reset button.. this time, the reset button wont work.. i tried pushing it millions of times. when i remove the head unit, the back part or whatever that is called (the part that the head unit attaches to) returns to normal position. when i put it back, it goes back into the eject position.. is there a fix? does anybody know whats wrong? does the stock kenwood crap just freaking suck? what is the deal? if anybody has any idea or advice, anythings appreciated.. its so much more quieter when i drive and its making me crazy!!
sorry for posting this in two sections, just wanted to ask msp owners in specific

might as well replace with a new head unit. Even if replaced by dealer, it'll surely happen again.

No doubt, it will simply happen again as the unit is flawed. Just replace it with something else. You'll more than likely discover better sound as a result. I replaced mine after it went out with this.

Mine just started this two nights ago, exactly the same as you are describing. I haven't tried the reset button (never looked for one).
I went to the dealer; 2 weeks to get new one in(boom07) .......Driving without music sucks. Yeah turbo sound is fun, but I need music; I'm not that good of a singer and I'm tired of listening to myself.

good choice, i had this deck in my previous P5.
i replaced my crappy kenwood with a Pioneer DEH-P770MP. works and sounds great.
