SLC-MSP

I installed my Injen CAI last Saturday and have been perfectly happy with it. Yes, even with the turkey. Driving home from work tonight, I was experiencing some new hesitations all across the RPM range that had never been there before. Sometimes it would stumble around 3000, other times it would run strong as hell all the way to the next light, then stumble at 4000 next time I got going. I'll check all the vacuum lines and clamps on the hoses to make sure everything is still tight, but in the mean time, let me ask a question of any of you who might live in wet/snowy climates...
Do any of you run the pre-filter on your Injen CAI? It was raining VERY lightly (barely enough to keep the wipers on) tonight and that's the only thing different than when I went to lunch a few hours prior. I mean, I can't imagine that little precipitation would have made any difference but I thought I'd just see what the general concensus was on the Hydro-Shield. Is it something I should consider given the filter's relatively protected location behind the bumper in the MSP?
