does anyone know why there is a vent looking opening on the back deck? Is there some option to have a fan back there or what?

no option to have a fan back there, just a matter of venting the cabin I believe. baahh, I could be way off too.

Its just there for fun. It doesnt even do a good job or venting anything.
Pull of the entire rear deck and youll just find metal behind.

that sucks, I was hoping it was an optional rear defrost fan. I could really use one since my bottom 3 wires in the window are dead.

Thats terrible what happened.

Prob just a cut lead. Go through it and find where its cut. When you see that you can go to radio shack and buy a conductive pen, and just remake the connection.

I think that vent is only on the 99-00's. I don't have a picture handy but I don't think my car has any vent there.

Edit: NM, I just looked over the balcony and it looks like there is something there.

Maybe it lets heat escape when the sun heats it up to prevent the plastic from warping
