i am planning to paint my engine cover, but dont know waht kind of paint to use and how to take off the cover, can anyone help,

Taking off the cover is simple, just pull up and it comes off. Paint wise, I would think some type of flex paint for bumpers would be best. Not sure if I would use regular paint, because the cover has a lot of flex when you remove it.

I used brake caliper paint from auto zone on mine. (spray not brush)

Spend a couple of bucks and powercoat it. Keep it conservative.
EDIT - I am tired, I thought it said valve cover. What good would that do anyway. Nevermind me.

Not sure if powdercoating plastic is such a hot idea. might melt

I just used a high temerature spray paint but mine is starting to crack already. I will need to redo it soon
