I have a protege LX w/ a MSP fully built motor/turbo. I just did the swap this past weekend. Could someone tell me exactly what the deal is here, cuz when we did the install the pedal just layed on the floor.. i pushi it up, it stays there, if you tap it, it falls back down. I know i have to bleed it, but HOW long would i have to bleed it before it actually goes down and comes back up? Could there be THAT much air in the line to make it do this?

Also, would 87 pump gas make the car stall out?(i know its supposed to have the other 93 gas. The 87 was in it, i completely forgot that i had that in when we went to start it.

also, we looked at the timing belt, and the right side was tight, but the left was loose. i guess we need to tension it. But we had the car running, and then it sputtered to a quick stop. it was idleing at 2500rpms...any ideas?

you're definetly going to need premium from this point forward, or thw car may implode due to knock.

As far as the clutch goes... isn't there a tension line on it (cant remember). but make sure that everything is attached and secured.

check the service manual just in case you missed something.

Sorry i dont have the answer you're looking for, but its better than no replies :(

off topic. like the ride, not digging the independent bucket seats, but its neat regardless.

the bumper looks a bit... well not aggressive like the guy who made his DX look like an mp3/msp.

good luck with the project.

well the car looks like shit right now.lol. the body shop that had it before made it look like absolute shit.6 months-crap work. it needs paint and stuff. I just lowered it, and put the msp motor in, cf hood and trunk, stripped the interior, and am working on some custom interior stuff. The bucket seats in the back are more of a show thing. just because i have some fiberglass work to do there.. thanks for the criticism and compliments.

sounds like air in your clutch lines or maybe your slave cyl is shot?

i guess you could bleed the lines first and hope that works.....sucks to take the tranny out again if you have to!

well i was bleeding them for a lil bit yesterday..like 20 minutes..and it got progressively better. however, sometimes the clutch pedal stuck to the floor. therefore makes me believe something is the matter.
