:) I just walked out, looked at my auto P5, walked in and searched with "strut bar". The bar and the black brackets look identical in both cars.

I found something: http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123618927&highlight=strut+bar+cruise
It looks like the cruise bracket you have now needs to be modified.

*Edit- or you can pick up this part: relocation bracket p/n BN5W-66-3AY

umm both brackets arent identical.. they are different.. one has mount for a sensor on it.. that one goes on the left side.. but yeah man make sure when u get your strut bar they include brackets with it they arent too easy to pick up and dealers prices are crazy..

I held the brackets up to each other and they are the same. Look at his first post (that's my MSP engine bay in all it's dirty glory). Is the mount you are talking about the unused one just above and to the left of the dipstick (in the picture)?

*Edit: hurleyblink, I straight up apreciate the help (thumb) I just want to make sure this guy can use the bar and brackets I'm sending him.

no need for cutting. Just go to the dealership and buy the Cruise control Relocation bracket for the strut bar. I think everything ran me about 30-40 bucks. Don't take my word for it, but the bracket isnt expensive.

I have the Corksport bar on my car. I required modifying the cruise control bracket, the battery tie down, the bar itself to clear the negative body connection near the battery, and relocating the AC mounting bracket a bit. Surprisingly time consuming actually.

Here is the notching that had to be done to the bar itself so the ground can touch bare body.

yep you JUST need relocation bracket.

dbzeag has different strut bar, thats why he had to go through lots of things to make it fit.

As I said before, I also bought MSP strut bar and guy over ebay didn't supply ANY kinds of brackets, so I had to go to the dealer and buy all of the brackets.

good shit man. Instalation should take you no more than 10-20 minutes.

As far as cleaning the engine bay, buy Simple Green. Its a degreaser and works wonders.

I have the brackets that go over the strut to mount the bar and it has the mounts for the CC. They are my stock p5 brackets. Dont need them since I got the cp bar.

I removed it. lol. It just got in the way and I never use it. Here in LA there isn't anything open enough to use it on and my car is not used for long distance travel. The furthest I have gone one way was 100 miles and most of it was bumper to bumper.

I am not sure if it is. But I still have my cc unit that has the mounting points for it and all of the plug in's will be the same.
