Your best (and maybe only) bet is going to be the Miata Clubs if you want to be with other Mazdas. Blue Ridge Miata Club includes Lynchburg, Danville, and Roanoke. Central Virginia Miata Club is in Richmond area. Try your local autocross folks, too.
