Whats Up! Guys I Have A 99 Protege Lx 16v 1.6liter Engine I Hear A Loud Tick At 2000rpm U Think Its The Oil Or The Cheap Gas! What I Have In It For Oil Is Castrogtx 10w40 Any Advice Or Info Will Help! Thanks

Well I am by no means a full mechanic yet. But this is from experience only. I used to have an old Hyundai a 1995 and it did that at 2500 rpm, and it was my timing belt that had slipped and was shredding more and more as I drove. But I don't know if that's the case with your baby or not, have someone bring your car up to 2000 rpm pop and hood and take a look-see. If you think it's the gas, try using the better gas and see if you notice a difference, same with your oil drain the system out and start from scratch. I use penzoil 5w30 for my protege, as well as 90 octane fuel.
