will 205/50/17 fit on the MSP? i was just wondering because i need new tires and a guy at discount tires said some other size other than the 215/45 would fit but i forgot what size it was (boom07)

As you probably know, 215/45 17 is the stock size. 205/50 17 may be too narrow to fit on the stock wheel, and you wouldn't want to go narrower anyway. If you can't get 215/45, you can probably get 215/40, though it would be slightly smaller and your speedo would be a bit off, and the ride maybe a bit rougher. I have heard that 225/45 or 225/40 would fit, but that would be sightly bigger, and may rub...

205-50-17 will fit.
Our rims are 17 x 7, so no problem there.

235's will most likely rub unless you adjust the camber. I really wouldn't go any larger than 215's unless you roll the rear quarter panel. Then MAYBE a 225. But no larger.

225 fit easy... but it also depends on the brand of tire b/c the sizes are not standard btw brands. Some 215 (or 225 or whatever) are wider than others. Maybe a "small" 235 could fit (barely though) The only way to find out is to go to a tire shop that has lots of different brand in those sizes an physically measure them.
Ex. I can tell you that a 225/45-17 Proxes T1-R is much narrower than a Goodyear F1-GS3...

BTW: you need at least a 7.5" wide rim to fit a 235...
