All the guys that have Catless midpipes and such and are running them on the road..(I know some of you are)...How the hell are you getting past emissions?

You can just bolt back up the catted pipe and pass emissions, then reverse this.... (boom07)

That's what I'll be doing too. Here in Ca we don't have to test new cars until 5 yrs after they were bought. That's coming up for me towards the end of next year.

How is that possible the car came out in 03?

you can just swap the vin's with another protege and get that smogged too, it would be a better idea to just do the midpipe swap though, i know a guy in orange county that will do it for $300 bucks, but shit for that price you could buy a midpipe!

I dont know about CA, but here we get a neat little machine that hooks up to our ODBII port. IF the VIN that the PCM has stored does not match what our little owners card has, you get FINED.

Just put a spark plug nonfowler in the testpipe and plug the O2 sensor into it. No CEL when you do that. Should work. Works for me.
