03.5 Catback Muffler question.

Hi gang,

I've done a bit of work to my car and now I'm looking to do the exhaust. So far, I have A CustomMSP SMIC, Turbohoses hardpipes, Injen CAI, and a Magnaflow single Hi Flow CAT. I bought the car used and it came with a really loud cheap muffler "F1 Top Speed" Keg style muffler. I bought a silencer off of ebay to tone it done but i miss the performance. So I've decided to go half way on this. I want to change the exhaust system but I don't want it super loud. I want a silent system when it's idle but a nice deep rich sound when I stomp on the gas. I was looking at Magnaflows CAT back system. It's a 2.5" Mendral bent SS piping to a muffler, then to a polished tip. I don't want something like a 3" Vibrant or GHL.

Tenabe sound like they have what I want but they don't sell a system for the MSP's.

Can someone please give me suggestions on what system to go with here. I really like the Keg muffler look but I don't want it to be soo damn loud!

I have the maghaflow.
It is 2.25 and it is a nice system.
No droning, deep sound especially when you downshift and it sounds cooler when it warms up.
I have a pic of it.
They sell them on ebay for 429.

Awesome!! So you have no regrets going with this system? Any noticble power gain?

I have a greddy SP2 catback (although Im usually running with my cutout). It sounds ALOT like the stock racing beat one until you reach 3k rpm and then its noticably louder. Sounds like a real nice rumble. SiberianKiss here in Houston runs with an HKS Carbon-Ti and it sounds REAL nice as well.

i do not know.
the car already had it.
i like the fact that it is similar to the stock one in design and you cannot see the muffler, only the tip.
I will try to get MAM midpipe to complement it.

The SP2 should be 2.5

I'm actually about to build my new exhaust soon. I've recieved till now a 2.5 Hi-Flow Magnaflow cat and a 2.5X4 inch round Magnaflow resonnator. I'm planning on using my Mazdaspeed axle-back. I really hope that the whole system will be quiet.

I think I might go with the Magnflow catback. I already have a 2.5" high flow cat. I hoping this will complement it perfectly. I like keg style muffflers cuz if it's 2 loud I can just put a silencer on it. With a Magnaflow or SP2 you have to live with it or replace it if it's too loud. Does anyone have clips of the Magnaflow or SP2??? That would really help me out.

I can try to make one but magnaflow it is not loud. a bit more than stock.
trust me i hate loud exhaust and that is what keeping me off from ghl or vibrant.
