only reason moldings are still there...i live at school...BIG PARKING LOT...afraid of dings =[ i dont like them but they save me from stupid drunk girls getting into cars

yeah the moldings dont do anything to protect the doors. check it out when you get a chance you will see that because of the lines of the door, if you were to wsing the door open, you will heat higher than where the moldings are.
