i already called and made an appointment for Monday...

i jus wanna know wat to ask to make sure my car runs right...

i'm requesting a compression test, and i have a few personal complaints that i want fixed...

Complaints

1. On cold starts i hear a rattle for a couple seconds... i rev the engine and it goes away then it idles again and it rattles for a couple seconds and then it goes away... i know thats not normal...

2. E-brake light is on all the time... even if its disengaged... so i need a new sensor for that...

3. Oil was burning but for some reason it stoped... i pop the hood and no burning smell, no leaks, oil is full... Ima say it was burning oil and to check on why it did that...

any suggestion?

the e-brake Check and top off your brake fluid. TH more the pads get worn the more brake fluid it needs. I had the sma eproblem but mistakenly didn't see the thread here on the froums about it and the dealership thought it was my fail safe wire from my TT, they cut it now I have to fix the connection. Brake fluid is what you need. the rattle can be a loose bolt on the heat sheild check it out...or soemthing else

people chime in on this.....you know you have 2cents to put in

the heatshield is fine, i heard both sounds... the head shield is like a rattle with metal to metal contact... i fixed that already, now i still hear that rattle at a cold start...

the brake fluid is good, i jus checked... though ima tell them to put more if it needs it...

Most likely it could be your brakes if the e brake light keeps coming on. Mine did the same about a week ago and I replaced my pads and the light went away.

its dumbest way of indicating low level of the break fluid ever but it's true .. i told mazda to check my ebrake too .. and those idiots charged me 50 bucks for a break inspection and said you need new breaks all around and it will go away .. i was like fuck you .. you could have said that without me waiting here for an hour .. then i looked at my breaks which were good .. and topped off the fluid myself .. who could logically tie the ebreak to break fluid i dont know .. but whatever mazda .. i guess you got 50 bucks for confusing the hell out of me

haha, my thoughts exactly. but thats okay.

Can you request a compression test under warranty?? I never figured you could, but that would be cool.

The burning oil smell could have been oil that dripped on the exhaust system after a recent oil change. Once it burns off, the smell goes away.

sine your warranty is about to run out you should look at getting a new motor and tranny and how you do that is put brake shavings in the oils, and it will start to smoke and run shitty and then will blow but the best part is the block is iron i believe so it will look like something that needs to be covered by warranty

exactly...

all i have is a valvetrain problem... easy fix, my engine runs very strong...

i think my problem might be my lobes, or something... something is 100% loose in my head... dealership said its most likely a warranty replacement product...

wat!... they gave me my reciept for when i got my exhaust manifold replaced 2 months ago... it said $0 but they still gave me a reciept...

u should check on that... specially when u need proof when sell your car one day and you can have proof that got that part new... well atleast thats wat i'm doing... everything is saved in a folder for my records...

TheSuperhuman

they had me sign a reciept as well thats why i didnt ask about it cause i thought they would give it to me so I only checked it when i got home but i remember there were at least say 10 parts replaced under warranty thats why to me you people seem crazy cussing about all these non-warranty issues

ummm, i'll betcha they didn't just up and replace your entire block for warranty work without you knowing it, and thats what Daedalus was saying they definitely wouldn't cover under warranty.
