View Full Version : Motor Identification '99-00 1.8 liter vs. '01-03 2.0 liter

Does anyone know a good way to quickly tell the difference between a 1.8 (BP-DE I think 1839cc) motor from the FS-DE 2.0 liter motors?? Anyone have a pic of the 1.8 liter motor??

yeah the 2.0 has coil on plug. while the 1.8 has a single coil pack at the front with 4 wires comming off it.

Thanks very much! However, the motors in question do not have the spark plug wires or the coil pack/s in place.

Any other ID's for the block/head combo????
