I was just wondering, for those of you with eyelids, how much did it cost you to get them painted? I just got quoted $45 shipped unpainted, and I really want them, unless it will be too much to paint

bump, i wanna know too
Here's the deal ... it's expensive to get the booth ready, mix the paint, have the "talent" spray it and then clean up afterwards. Expensive enough to cost more than the eyelids themselves at a good shop. One way to cut down on costs is to have them sprayed at the same time other items are being sprayed. This doen't really work if all you need are the eyelids sprayed ... but I had mine done for free when I had my DG lip painted. It may be worth trying to do yourself.

i agree. you can always opt for prepping and painting them yourself. it shouldn't be hard to match the colour of your car. even getting a can of automotive paint mixed and put into a spray can for you. since they are eyelids, you can do it yourself easily. prep by sanding and priming, paint with a few coats, then apply a few clear coats.

yeah, I have never done anything like that so I wouldnt even know where to go or what to do. I figured it would be cheaper to do with other things being painted, but I dont plan on (or have the money for) having anything else painted...

Buy the color matched spray can from the dealer or online and do it yourself! Remember THIN EVEN COATS. Bout 5 should do it. Let dry btw each coat to eliminate runs. Dont be a wuss and just do it :P
