Update from my previous thread:
Honda Civic Si Sedan Concept Unveiled at Chicago Auto Show (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=12618432#)
CHICAGO 02/08/2006 -- The Civic Si Sedan Concept is making its debut at the 2006 Chicago Auto Show, American Honda Motor Co., Inc., announced today.
The Civic Si Sedan Concept provides strong hints of the styling and performance for a production Civic Si Sedan scheduled to go on sale this fall, marking the first time that "Si" performance has become available in the Civic Sedan. Similar to the recently introduced Civic Si Coupe, the production Civic Si Sedan will serve as another performance leader for the Civic line-up with a 197-horsepower, 16-valve, DOHC i-VTEC engine with an 8,000 rpm redline, mated to a close-ratio, 6-speed manual transmission. Helping to put all that power to the ground is a helical-type, limited slip differential for improved traction and cornering performance.
The Civic Si Sedan Concept features custom 18-inch cast aluminum alloy wheels, 225/40ZR18 high-performance tires, and 4-wheel disc brakes with large cross-drilled brake rotors and 4-piston Brembo calipers.
"The Civic Si Sedan Concept demonstrates how the high-performance attributes of the Civic Si Coupe can be directly applied to the functionality of a sedan," said John Mendel, senior vice president of American Honda.
A production vehicle based on the Civic Si Sedan Concept will go on sale this fall. The 2007 Civic Si Sedan will mark a further evolution of Civic Si's sixth generation alongside the Civic Si Coupe - and will be the first time a Civic Si is available in two body styles. The Civic Si first appeared in 1986 with subsequent Civic Si models appearing in 1989, 1992, 1999 and 2002.
The Civic Si Concept (coupe version) made its debut at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show, preceding the introduction of the all-new 2006 Civic Si, Civic Hybrid, Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe. The Civic Si Coupe and Civic Si Sedan will both complement the Civic lineup with features designed to appeal to true enthusiasts seeking a high level of performance and value.
The all-new 2006 Honda Civic has attracted a high level of acclaim, including Motor Trend magazine's prestigious 2006 Car of the Year award and the 2006 North American Car of the Year award.

Merged threads.
the wing gotta go.
I knew they were going to do this. Where's the MS3? Mazda better hurry the f up before I jump ship.
The other thing I'd like to say is this, if Honda can make a coupe and sedan version, wtf can't MAzda make a sedan/hatch version????? Even Subie does.

i want this car, really.
if I can't make something happen with the MS6 this spring. I might hold off for this. The coupe was fun to drive, albiet a little awkward with the damn dash and shifter, but it was a nice little car. Little being the key word. Too damn small even for midgets really. Even the front seat was too small for me and I'm only 5'10". One thing about all of the honda's I had....not one issue, not one repair...notta.
they GOT to get rid of that spoiler, or make it an option though. Hideous. It doesn't look half bad on the coupe, but it's way too tall for the sedan.

I don't dig the wing and I'm partial to the SI as a 3-door hatch, personally. I wouldn't mind test driving one though...

Don't mind either of those Civic's shown. However, their stupid cluster they have in the new Civic is just brutal. Looks like a Suzuki Aveio dash.

I approve, I like it
well actually, even the aerio's cluster was changed in 2005 to traditional analog clusters.

Ya, I know. Why would they bring those digital clusters back though? I thought those went out in the early 90's. I wouldn't buy one of those cars simply because of that reason. Other than that though, they are OK looking.

I think they started that with the s2000? Can someone confirm this. I wonder if the Sedan will put up similar numbers as the Coupe. Anyone know what Mazda is doing? Will the Speed 3 be released this year or not?
I'm thinking they are purposely holding off on the MAzdaspeed 3 until it's done. It would be a first for Mazda. Think of it. They were late on all previous Mazdaspeed releases. They have also been caught by exaggerating performance and actual HP numbers. With the Mazdaspeed 6, they released conservative performance numbers to the press long before knowing actual numbers. Was this on purpose? I think so. Can't go wrong when your real performance numbers end out better then your first guess. But you can definitely go wrong the other way around.

Old thread I know, but reading some things about this Civic Sedan Si it sounds like it will be out late this year. I really like the exterior looks of this car......it grows on me more and more everyday.
Anyone know if they are keeping the gauges the same for the 2007 models? I really, really, really hope not.
