(pissed)
(rant) <--- That's going to be me for a little bit. I went out to my car this morning (keep in mind I haven't even had my car for a week yet) And there were fingerprints all over my car (my car got kind of dirty). I mean like some stupid kids drew lines clear across my car from front to back and wrote "PIMP RIDE" on most of the windows. Which made me pissed enough already, until I went out to my car tonight after work and discovered SCRATCHES on my front passenger window!!! And no, they weren't already there from before I got the car. They're not just little abrasions or anything like that, they are a little deep, I mean I can feel them when I rub my fingers across. You guys have no idea how pissed off I am right now. (well, maybe you do) I mean I JUST BOUGHT my flippin car like 4 or 5 days ago. I really hate stupid kids. Luckily I live in a home owners' association and I'm going to see if I can find this kid or kids. I guess I'm going to be purchasing a car cover now...Any suggestions?

Sorry guys, by "any suggestions" I meant for the car cover. Suggestions for those? Any good ones? What do you use?

It might have been a band of unruly senior citizens, haha.
Sucks man, and I wish I had something to add to this thread, but I know nothing of car covers.

That car cover is cool, however...to kids, it would more appear to be a blank canvas if you get my drift. lol

no joke. if they've already done this much...ummm...well, i don't think a car cover is going to stop them. i know it's been mentioned already, but i say get a good alarm. my first expense for this car was a quality 2-way alarm. i live on a corner of a busy residential area, and for some reason that makes it more likely for things to get vandalized. my poor first car would get stuff thrown at it all the time...god it drove me nuts. note: clean off egg as soon as possible. believe me, i know your pain. but now that my car is the nicest in the family, i get the driveway! but seriously, a good alarm might be a good idea.

Doesn't the car have an alarm already? If not, or if the stock alarm just sucks, can you recommend a good one?

i believe our cars come stock with keyless entry...which is different than an alarm. i believe it was an option, however. i'm far from an expert on alarm technologies, but i've been very satisfied with my two-way viper alarm i had installed at best buy a year ago. the controller goes through a battery about once every 2-3 months, but having the two way function is nice. in the day and age where everyone has a car alarm that sounds the same, it's good to know when it's yours. the range on the thing is pretty damn impressive as well...minus any huge obstruction, of course.

Yeah we dont have alarms stock, but please dont get one. I hate alarms, they are absolutely useless in todays world, people just ignore them. However, since this is basically just for use at night right in front of your house, it might not be a bad idea.

i hate people who put door dings on my car... idiots who don't know how to open the door at school.. fucking basterds. I would ding others people's car, but that's just messed up. anyways, i hate cats too. they fucking slept on my car the night that I just washed it... i'd kill all of em if i could, but it's against the law.... really temping to catch them and send them to the pound to die. scratched my hood too... fat line on there and the middle if scratched a bit too. die cats die.

Well, may I suggest getting an Airsoft gun or fully automatic AK47 airsoft gun. Once done shooting them, drag them to a trashcan, stuff them in, tape it as tight as you can and tie it down, then ask him/ them where their house is and tie it to your car. Then drive around the neighborhood for a couple minutes with them in the trashcan and once they get to their house, tell them if you ever see them again, they will be dragged farther, faster and longer. Sorry, I feel your pain and I have no mercy on stupid kids who like to screw around with other people's property.

You're going to have to arch it pretty high man, especially if it's a truck. I'm a short guy so that's sorta out of the question. However, motoroil on their windshield could be kind of annoying. Isn't brake fluid corrosive? Just put that all over their car.

lol, I would totally just kick the car in 20 different spots, then take a screwdriver and scratch the paint with the words asshole and whatnot. People who screw around with your car like that do not deserve mercy. If you're in HS, whoever you don't like will probably be the perpetrator.

actually, if you use a spray bottle of diesel on their windshield, and rub styrofoam against it, it will permanentally etch the glass.
I have no clue how I know that.

I've got the same problem where I live too. I took it upon myself to line the outside perimeter of my driveway with trip wires! Lets just say I think I've solved my problem. The next morning I went outside to see if anything happened and found about a dozen blood spots! That will teach them to fuck with me! (laugh) (chair) BURN IN HELL YOU SONS OF BITCHS! Well guys I've been watching and watching and watching, but with no luck. I am happy to say though that they haven't done anything else to my car since I first discovered it. I guess talking to few of the neighborhood kids paid off (but not the damage, unfortunately.) Oh well, it sucks but I'll get over it. A lot of these responses have been hilarious! I definitely would try some of those things if these kids were even old enough to own a car. They're like middle school aged or something...
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'm still thinking about the car cover thing though. And DEFINITELY upgrading to a better alarm!
