Spy Shots: Jaguar XKR

Shots of a high performance version of Jaguar’s XK have surfaced that reveals the British marque’s intent to take on such vehicles as the BMW M6 and Mercedes SL55 AMG. It will have its work cut out for it with the 400-hp, 4.2L supercharged V8 it will reportedly be packing, but from the looks of these spy shots it will have no problem dressing the part.
This convertible XKR caught winter testing reveals larger air intakes up front and intakes added to the bulging hood, as well as larger wheel openings for (duh) larger wheels. We can expect to rendezvous in person with the new XKR coupe and convertible this fall when we touch down in Paris for that city’s motor show
