I also ditch a GM shitbox for my Mazda. I had the sister truck to the S-10, a 2000 GMC Sonoma POS. Thing was a total turd, never gonna buy a GM vehicle again. You will love your early 02 P5. Check out the sticky at the top of this section for some options for modding.

believe me, im not planning on ricing this thing out. The s10 was fun but im over that. just some minor mods are planned for this car.....im going for the stock look with the not so stock speed ;)
