where is it leaking from, if you happen to know?
ok... i fixed now..
i was doing the intake mani swap with the ported with no vtcs, and it was getting dark.. so i was putting everything together for later and then.. the joint btw the fuel line and fuel rail was lost, i didnt notice at the first time, and when i started the car i noticed fuel is getting sprayed out of the joint.. it was freaking dark and have been looking the the blue stopper ring.
finally found it get it under control.. lol i need garage..
by thw way, is there any way possible to just remove the upper intake mani.. seems to be impossible to me... i remember seeing the post somewhere but i cant find it..

yes, it is possible to remove just the upper intake mani.
All you do is unbolt the lower support bracket from underneath the car (supports the lower half of the intake mani). This allows the lower half to droop just enough to get enough room to remove just the upper.
For more a more detailed description check the How-To section for TurfBurn's how-to remove intake manifold and install thermo spacers. I think there is a pic in there of the lower support bracket so you will know what to unbolt.
sounds like a very stupid question.. but do i have go under the car to remove that bolt??

Yup - all acess for the bracket is underneath. 3 bolts IIRC...

If you're just removing the upper half of the mani then you just have to remove the support bracket from the mani, not from the block. There are only 2 bolts holding the bracket to the mani and they are both 14mm and I found it best to use a swivel and a pretty long handled ratchet because they are torqued onto the mani pretty damn tight from the factory.
And yes, as P-Funk stated, you have to get under the car to access these bolts.
I found TurfBurn's How-To, it's from the NSN Motorsports site as install instructions for their thermal spacers. Here's the link with pics:

So how long did this project take? what are you doing with the old intake mani?

hahaha, ya, you would...unless you have a quintuple jointed arm :D. I tried to get to the oil filter from up top one time, just to see if I could, and maybe get a better angle @ it (it is right around that bracket, I'm not just throwing my .02 in just cuz lol), and it was freaking impossible...and my arms aren't really that big lol.
So how long did this project take? what are you doing with the old intake mani?
uhm.. my initial plan was just to swap the ported mani that i worked on..
i dont think it shouldnt take more than 2-3 hours just swapping the mani, but it took me about 6 hours to remove vtcs, fill the hole and porting.
my intake mani that i have on the car is actually almost brand new one which i got it from the recall that we had.
i am going to see how will it work out with the turbo which i plan to install in march and decide if i will go back to stock mani or not..
if i decide to go with no vtcs and ported mani, i will repeat the process on the one that i plan to remove and put it back in there since it is pretty new one..
i will probably sell the old one after i finish all that..

Well, if you want to sell the old one, let me know. I want to do a VTCS delete, but I don't have the tools (or know how) to pull, plug and port the mani, but I can pay for those services.
BTW, I put the axle back on over the weekend. I tried to DIY it first, but there was no way the bolts were coming off, so I gave a guy $20 and he tourched it. I don't know why everyone was giving you grief about the dents. I sanded everything except the tip and painted it with high temp. it's good as new.
=) good to know
as you might know there is "how to" for vtcs removal in "how to" section.. it is not very hard if you can get intake mani out..

hahaha... I too broke stuff when I was doing my intake manifold swap. I broke one of the o-rings on the fuel injectors and proceeded to drop said broken piece into the engine. Needless to say, I was freaking out. But hey, she works now!
