I'm trying to get rid of some old Audio/Video equipment. I've had this monitor for about 3 years, but I only used it in the car for 2. Since the monitor is on-dash, I removed it from the car whenever I wasn't using it. At that time, I had a Pioneer HU for sound, a MobileVision DVD player used strictly for video, and this Pyle monitor. Worked great, but eventually it was time to upgrade to all in-dash accessories.
Soooo, here's all the details for the monitor...
- Pyle 6.75" viewable monitor ~ SOLD
- On the side of the monitor, there is an On/Off switch, and two knobs used to adjust Color and Brightness
- There is also a very small speaker in the back of the monitor, but I never used it since I was using my Pioneer for sound
- The silver is almost identical to the silver found in the Protege5 (one reason I bought it)
- It comes with a 6.5' cord, attached to a small harness that has 4 wires; power(red), acc.(blue), ground(black), and the wire for that little speaker I never used(green). There is also a video input.
- I might still have the actual on-dash mount (uses two-sided sticky tape or screws), but not sure where it's at. If I find it, it's included. If not, they aren't expensive, plus I'm also selling a gooseneck mount. :)
- 18" Gooseneck Mount ~ SOLD
- Made for the Pyle monitor, very sturdy, but also flexible...does require a little bit of 'oomph' to bend it, but it technically has to be that way or else it wouldn't hold the monitor (thumb)
- Shipping would be from FedEx Kinkos (i.e. Ground). But if you have to have this quickly, I do get a slight discount on FedEx Express. Ground would still be cheaper.
Check out the pics below (sorry about wrong date, I was going to post this last week). The last pic is the monitor in my scanner :) Got questions, please ask! I have class during the day and work in the evenings, so please be patient with responses...thanks for looking!

The little black wire harness that has the power, acc., ground, and speaker wire. It also contains a video input. I scanned the harness 'cause my camera is taking some blurry pics.

Well basically, anything with a video output. The monitor has one video input. All you need to do is run the video wire from a DVD player, Playstation, XBox, etc...into to the video input for the screen. The sound is a whole other story. I had a Pioneer with AUX input, so my sound from the DVD player went to the Pioneer, the video went to the screen.
I found the picture of this setup when it was in my car, hopefully this will help clear things up a bit.
Also, the sceen doesn't have to be mounted on the dash. It's just basically an out-of-dash monitor, so it goes wherever you want it to go. Just remember that the on/off switch, color knob, and brightness knob are on the right hand side of the screen. So you could technically mold the screen in the center of your steering wheel if you were daring enough, you just wouldn't be able to adjust the picture and you'd need an external switch to cut the power to the screen when you weren't using it. *disclaimer* - I don't recommend molding monitors in the center of steering wheels! Yeah I can wait to put it on Ebay if you're seriously interested. But if somebody else wants to buy it, then I'm gonna have to go with them...nothing against you of course, I just need $$$ for my spring projects.
But to answer your question, the monitor will work if you have a video source of some kind. I like your choice of the P7700MP. I really like Pioneers and I almost got that one too. Instead I went with the P860MP. Both of these headunits (and the Pioneer in my picture) have the AUX input that you're talking about. You can use that for your sound. You basically press SOURCE on your Pioneer to cycle through Tuner/CD/AUX. If you don't see the AUX, check the owners manual and it will show you how to turn this option on.
So after you plug the sound into your Pioneer, you plug the video into the monitor, and you're ready for some movies or video game action. (thumb)
The setup in that picture is for the '03 and '04 show season. This past summer, I used a single-din in-dash 7" non-motorized monitor, and a DVD/CD/MP3/WMA/MPG/JPG/AMFM player...basically, whatever I burnt onto a CD-R, it played. But it doesn't have the great sound that the Pioneers have, so I'm selling both of those soon (gotta take pics first). This summer, I have my P860MP for sound (gonna put it behind the cupholders) and I'm gonna purchase a Pyle double-din in-dash monitor on Ebay. I also have a Slim PS2 for my entertainment.
So I'd hate to kill my own sell, but I'm curious what kind of setup you're aiming for? The single-din in-dash monitor has a much better picture than this Pyle that I'm selling. The Pyle can be difficult to see at angles, it's like looking at a big screen tv from the side, the picture fades a little. Of course, you can rotate the screen to face whatever direction want, but I always had it straight forward like in the picture. Other than that, the Pyle works and looks great. There are a couple scuff marks on the silver part from taking it in and out of the car, but not real noticable. Anyway, this message is getting long, so just let me know if you have any questions about either, I'll try to get pics of all the things I'm selling here soon. Latas...

Okay, well I have one guy that is local who is interested in an old DVD player I'm selling (the black one in the picture). He is going to stop by tomorrow and look at the monitor too. So I'll let you know if he decides to buy it. It sounds like you got everything in order. You will need an adapter for your Pioneer. I had to buy one for mine, here is the link (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4109_35681,00.html). Of course, if you have that, you're all set. Also, I still haven't found the actual mount that sits on the dash, it uses two-sides sticky tape. I know I have it somewhere 'cause we put this screen in my roommate Explorer when we drove to Florida last Spring Break. I'll keep looking. If I can't find it, you might have to purchase one of those too, they shouldn't be real expensive. The Gooseneck mount I have retails for over $20 plus shipping so if throw in the extra $10, that's yours too. The mount itself is hard to describe, but yes, it rotates. You simply attach the screen, position how you want, and then tighten a screw to hold in in place.
Okay, I think I answered all of your questions. I'm kinda rushing 'cause we're about to head to the bars (cheers) But if you have more questions, let me know. And I'll fill ya in tomorrow if this guy buys the screen or not. Lata man!
