Wanting 13's...

I want to run 13's possibly with out changing rods or upgrading turbo, with bolt ons and other options... does anyone think this is possible or is a engine build up best thing to start with?...

Right now i have all stock except for CAI, i have 3" no cat, to muffler on the way... trying to work from there.... anyone have input on what should be done next? Next step i was going to take was going to be an FMIC, but if i were to save for say MAM's thumper kit which comes with an FMIC might as well save for that if im not going to get what i want out of the stock setup.

You can get there on stock internals. Personally I would be waiting for the boom at that point but it has been done frequently on the forums. As long as you get it tuned correctly with a aftermarket ems you might be okay. This link might help.

High 13's is easy. Get that exhaust on, your 90% there.

That was just with the resistors. I ran mid-13's for a full year before going with the MPI.
The Mpi just makes it alot easier.

look for a thread called "Lets Get Creative: 13s for $1000" should give you many ideas on how to get there. BLKZOOMZOOM is right, start with the exhaust, then work your way from there.

GET some whp and slicks and bam 13 s. Waiting on track to open and vid to prove mid 13s are mine for sure after the run with the srt. Slicks and iam tieing you blk zoom zoom. (cheers)

Well like i said yea i can run 13s on street tires for sure . The srt i ran traps 105 i think . He pulled on me the top of 3rd and had 1 1/2 cars in the end of forth . I also surprised him on the topend too. So yea you guys could run slicks at thet rack and say 12 s but i understand what you are saying. I without a shadow of a doubt now have a 13 Msp running mid to high 13s . (thumb)

Well, an MSP with Slicks I think is a cheaters way to get 13's. What do you want zzMSP03.5? Just a timeslip with a 13 on it or a car that you know know can can produce a 13 on the street when someone wants to run you or just for a little highway fun. Cause you WONT have that if you are slicks at the track. I wouldnt even go for 13's, but Id rather go for 100mph traps on street tires, that would be awesome to know your potential for 13's and still know you can do that outside of the track.

thats kinda what im going for, all of my buddies drive hondas... my bro has a 97 coupe with a type -r swap, and a buddy of mine has a ek hatch with a h22 swap... so im just lookin to keep up... lol mainly i want to gain respect with my car... show everyone its not this piece of shit others claim it to be

So you are saying I should have been running faster when I was running 13.20's @ 110-112mph? Damn I knew those potenzas were holding me back.

yes....that's easily a 12 sec 1/4mile trap speed. I was doing 13.8's in nov @102.
