Alright everyone, I can't decide what the hell to do with my car. I currently have a GHL downpipe(3") which narrows to 2.5" at the flange that conects to my stock catback. I have a feeling the stock catback is holding back my top-end somewhat, but honestly I don't how much difference it makes. I plan on boosting 9-10psi in the future. What do you think? I'd like minimal exhaust restriction, with minimal added noise at the same time.

What do you think? It really matters if you are realy picky or not that mutch. I"m not that picky but I do know that I wanted an HKS muffler so that's what I did. I have the CS s and j pipe to a custom mid pipe no cats (a flex there after my cs pipe broke) a resonator and the HKS muffler at the back, I like the way it sounds even before I drove without a resonator but I got scared that would give a cop the reason to pull me over. Hope that helps you.

Personally, I would either get a custom 3inch cat-back which I did (should of gone with the thermal and research) or get a 3 inch cat-back thats already been pre-made from some one. I hear the CorkSport or APexi cat-backs are nice! One of them goes under the suspension so it a lot better flow, but downside is If you lower you will have a chacne of scrapping.

Do what you think is good, or what makes you happy, but try to do it right...
i guess

Yeah the 3" thermal exhaust looks nice. I see that it is 3" but narrows to 2.5" so that the flange fits up. I wonder how hard it would be to get a shop to hack together my downpipe and the thermal catback without the narrowing to 2.5 on both pieces. It would just semm silly to get a 99% full 3" exhaust, with a short 2.5" restriction in the middle. Does anyone know what would be a good price for that kind of work?
This is why I am so undecided, if I'm gonna have to get some custom exhaust work done, why not get the whole catback custom. But then again, I don't trust any shops around here to make me a quality piece.
