Racing Beat sway bars?

While researching my after market suspension options, I have seen that Racing Beat offers front and rear bars. I have also noticed that a few people seem to be not so happy with them becuase for some reason they loosen teh end links.

I've also read a few people have clunking issues. Coming from the MP3, which had Racing Beat sways, and a clunkign issue in the rear, could it be a similar issue? Or is just the end links coming loose and that is clunking?

Anyone running these bars here?

i think the "clunk" was a car related issue not so much the rb stuff iirc... they were hoping the rb stuff would fix the "clunk" and it didn't.... i would do a bit more research but RB makes some great stuff for mazdas.....

I've got the RB sways. They're very very good. The only problem I have is that they chew up endlinks after a bit.

I know they make good stuff. However, the MP3 and MSP have a clunking issue with the way the bar is mounted.

I was not sure if it was a similar trend with the 6.

i have the msp rear bar with awr end links and i love it but it is not enough so i going to go to the full awr bar

The problem is , they gat dry off grease.The clunking is the bushing sticking and releasing from the bracket.You can either keep greasing and replacing the factory, or just buy the AWR Urethane replacement for stock 20mm rear sway bar bushing.All should be well.Could be links also??

So, they are the typical Mazda end links, slim as a toothpick. I bent the front ones in my MP3 with the stock RB bar there.

Has anyone found a really good way to run better links? I saw some guy were using the Miata links that AWR sells.

I've heard of people even using RX8 links.. I think there are aftermarket 6 links out there, I just haven't researched it all that much.

The Racing Beat sway bars that were put in the MP3 and MSP clunk because of where the bar is mounted to the chassis. That is why there was a fix created by Delsing Motorsports that mounts the bar father out on the chassis.

Racing Beat originally did this on the MPS version (prototype MP3) of the car, but Mazda scrapped the idea because of costs.

The added stress of the bar bending in a place its not meant to adds undue strain on the stock bushings which wears them out sooner than they should.

The reason I asked about the Racing Beat sways for the Mazda6 is because the rear bar on the 6 mounts in a similar fashion as the Protege, and I was wondering if the issues are the same. Running a thick bar mounted like that means it bends in a strange way which clunks and causes the bushings to die of unnatural causes prematurely. Or does the Mazda6 RB bar clunks because of isntallation errors and loose endlinks.

I just got another set of OEMs.. they aren't that expensive and they'll work until I find another option

OIC...Have you seen the pics of guys running the AWR Miata links. The seem to work alright.

I'm not sure on the length fo the 6 end links, but it seems you could buy a female threaded rod end and a male threaded rod end of same size and make it work with those two parts. That kind of depends on the length of the threaded portion of the links, but it could work and be stronger and hold up better.

Those thicker bars definitely need thicker end links.

absolutely.. Lemme see if I can dig up an aftermarket endlink for the 6, I remember seeing one!
