There are only four wires. You basically remove your old sensor, Cut the wiring harness end of. Take that and wire it to the universal sensor, you just match up the colors. The kit comes with a connector for easy wiring and it also has instruction on wiring it up too. after reintall sensor and plug back wiring harness and reset the ECU.

the outside of the o2 sensor won't be affected by touching, unless you got some nar ass grease on your hands.
the coated metals are inside, behind the steel casing.

yeah, let me change my statment then.
just avoid touching the sensor portion, because there is no reason to touch it.

both whites on the Bosch go to black on the left side of the connector "not polarity sensitive." The black on the Bosch goes to blue on the top right of the connector "sensor." And the grey on the bosch go to the white on the bottom right white connector "ground."
Good luck have fun. Hope you have a better result with the Universal because i still get the same O2 sensor error.

i put the universal bosch in my altima, My wires straight matched but there was an extra wire on the universal bosch that was an extra ground according to the instructions, i spliced that with the other ground wire and did not have a problem.
