The 2007 Ford Edge features a new 3.5-liter, 250-hp, 240-lb-ft 24-valve dohc V6 linked to a new six-speed automatic transmission created for front-drive applications. The transmission, which also can be used in all-wheel-drive vehicles and is capable of handling up to 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque, is the product of a joint engineering effort with General Motors. The engine, which Ford says will power one in five Ford vehicles by 2010, is designed to accommodate hybrid technology, direct gasoline injection and turbocharging. Look for the Edge in dealerships next fall, in front- and all-wheel-drive configurations.

I hate when ford takes a good idea from mazda (6, cx7) and then bastardizes it into several ugly vehicles (fusion, zeph, this car, the lincoln mmx)

Come on their not that bad. Atleast Ford made look completely different from the Mazdas. Its not just a badge change like the old days.

its the subtle things that drive me crazy though.. I can still see mazda lines in both of them. and on the interior they use a lot of 6 components.
