Ford hopes its Reflex concept shows that small cars can be bold, American and innovative. Ford thinks the concept will be one of the stars of the Detroit show. Reflex features a diesel-electric hybrid system using diesel, electric and solar power. This combination of power can deliver maximum fuel economy – up to 65 mpg, says Ford – without compromising performance. The concept features an electric motor on the rear axle in addition to the hybrid system on the front axle. The rear motor provides all-wheel-drive capability.

Wow that is just way too "futuristic" looking, especially the interior. I know it's a concept, but one step at a time guys.

Good move with the turbo hybrid though. I've been waiting to see those come out for a while.

Only 65mpg? Are you kidding? There are turbo diesels ONLY that do more than that from VW. Damn Ford can't do anything right. Should be well over 100 mpg with all of that supplimental propulsion systems.
