Yeah, I personally have the red top battery installed in my 2000 pro ES. Make sure you get the small plastic lifter that's supposed to come with the battery. The optima is shorter in height than the stock battery and you need that spacer to use the battery hold down bracket.

yeah i dont have a battery hold down bracket :) dont know what happened to it
