Auto to Manual swap?

This may sound weird, but I love my '02 Protege' DX. Only problem is, I want a 5 speed, but don't want to have to buy another car (put too much time and effort into this one...)

Is it possible to put a 5 speed into my car, if I found a donor car to take out the tranny, axles, etc... pedal sets, wiring, and if necessary, the ECU? Is a complete rewire job necessary? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Of course anything is possible but I'm not really sure the time and money invested would be worth it in doing the swap.
