I have a 98' Protega. The emergency brake is always partially engaged. When I had the car inspected the shop lubed the cables which released the ebrake but it engaged again two days later. Anyone here ever have this happen?
The car passed inspection, and I plan to replace this car in the next 6 months, so I'm just looking for quick fix. I'm thinking about just disengaging the ebrake and simply parking the car in 1st gear, is this crazy?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
