What Kind of Tint Do You Have On Your P5?

Just curious as to what kind of tint you have on your P5 (such as black, fade, etc.), what percentage it is (35%, 20%, 5%), and how much you paid for it. I just had the back five pieces of glass done in 20% black and the two rear windows done in 35% black for $115. I'm going back when I get the money to do the front two in 35% black also for $60 (a total of $175).

I have 'Smoked' tint. It is 25% I believe. PA is stupid about their tint laws but none-the-less, I don't really get hassled about it.

I had it done by my brothers work. He works for a Porsche/M-B/BMW dealership. It cost me $120 for it.

Two people at my work have it. It's basically ridiculous, but if you really want your windows that dark than go for it!

i have 20%...i paid $225...legal in GA is 35%...there's a local shop that will do what you want as long as you pay cash...and, of course, the jack the price up

Not too positive right now what mine is as it was there when I bought the car (not factory). I have the warranty paperwork for it but it doesn't say. I am actually taking mine to double limo. I think the back is all limo and the front is 35%. I am going to have a shop in town go over all of it with 3M Limo tint so that it is really dark! : ) WOOT BLING! Arizona laws suck as well but the police are nice here during the summer since it gets to hot.

i got 3m limo tint on the rear windows and hatch. i like it. cost around $175

I have 30% film on the sides and 20% on the rear window. Cost me about 200 I think. Lifetime warranty because it's 3M metallic (not dyed). It looks like just black tint on my car but on my mom's black 05 Altima it has a slight silver look to it (she has 40% film to keep it CT legal though so that might be why).

Oh and I have 20% on the moonroof but it looks like it wasn't done with a metallized tint because it's a little purpley.. sucks because it was done by the same guy and I definitely paid for the metallized stuff all around.

I had a 30% strip on the stock windshield but my replacement windshield has a slight tint strip of it's own so I don't think I'll get it redone.

no they aint touchin, but they are fuckin close!! LOL. It was a photo shoot chris and i did for the CME rides thread. paid 45$ for the tint, did it myself. Cant really see in the pictures, but the craftsmanship is pretty shitty. Gonna have to redo it soon. good learnin experience though.

yeah down here in south florida we have something called the swap shop did a good job too no bubbles or anything and gave me a lifetime warranty

I have 14% all around, got it for $200. I love the look from the outside, but if I had to do it again I would get the back 3 windows closer to 30%.

Or do you mean 5% (tint percentage is measured in percent of light transmitted not percent of light blocked).

5% is pretty dark, is that a problem at night?

As for Night Driving Yes It Is Dark As Hell So I Do Not Recommend This to anyone.

Front door windows are 35 % therest of the side windows are 5% limo tint and the hatch is 15%.

Definitely a tint one. I had a 30% one I think and it was pretty dark, I didn't really want to go darker than the rest of the tint on the car though. maybe 10-15% would look nice.

ok great zverg! does anyone have vinal? the only reason i am kinda stearing away from that is because vinal seems to chip and all if the wipers go over it. with a tint it would be basically lifetime cuz its on the inside. I think i am just going to go with the plain black tint insted of any other stuff. it will look better on a black mica.

BTW zverg, Great pic i have had that as my background since you took it! you have one fan here!
