I am new to this forum and am interested in buying a turbo kit and have been researching about the engine management. I have an MP3 , I know it would be better to trade P5 ecu's for the timing end of it but if I buy a kit with no EMS would an APEXi AFC work for the fuel or would I need an upgraded fuel pump. injectors, etc.? Any help on the turbo tuning end of it would help.

I wouldn't waste the time and money on a P5 ECU swap. Save it for a real engine management system. I would recommend MPI w/ extra injector(s), as it is capable of controlling timing as well. I don't know of anyone that runs the APEXi AFC, and I think I remember reading that it is a pain if not impossible to set up for our cars.

Isn't the MPI tuner expensive and where do you get one?

Talk to forum name MPNick. I think they have a website too, but I don't feel like looking it up. It's not that expensive for what you get. Good engine management does not come cheap. Do you have any specific hp goals?
