OEM Air Dam Install

Hey guys, I got the OEM Air Dam from mazdastuff.com and I had some questions for the few of those who have it insalled, I've only seen it on maybe four cars.

Did you guys take the bumper off to mount it?
Should I do all the mounting/fitting work before I get it painted, take it off, then get it painted?
Anyone run theirs in the winter?
Price you paid to have it painted?
