why would you pay to have them aligned? anyways when I aligned mine I just pulled up in front of a wall and adjusted the bolt. took me a minute at most

I wish they required a GOOD alignment these days. I'm sick of fussing with mine only to be blinded by 50% of the othe cars!!

Yes, find a nice level parking lot and pull up in front of a wall about 2 feet away.

Mark where the center of the headlights are on the wall (not the beam, the hadlights). Make sure that the tops of both beams are even by adjusting the screws for starters and centered where the center of your headlights are. Then pull straight back about 15 feet and the beams need to be even horizontally and only about 1 foot or less above where your previous beam was.

If you use a brick wall you can utilize the lines as a guide. Unfortunately we have no horizontal adjustment, only vertical.

alright thanks for the info man. yea i dont think not being able to adjust horizontal will be that big a deal as the people that are complaining (friends driving in front of me) just say its a lil higher than that other one. but thx for info

Yeah, and you're the sort of tightass driver who ends up blinding me when I'm driving down a dark country lane coz your fricken headlights have not been aligned properly.

For the sake of other road users, don't be a selfish b'stard and get the job done correctly with proper optical alignment kit.

I took more than a minute to align mine but I know what i'm doing. And no, I will not pay to have some grease monkey align my headlights with a "proper optical alignment kit".

The "kit" you are referring to consists of a few lines painted on the wall. If you know the measurments of the lines you are good to go. I'll save my money and won't bling any traffic thank you.

And yes, I am tight with my money. :D

VOL, VO, or VOR headlights can be aimed properly visually. They don't need optical alignment.

capnsavem, to align them just rotate the gold screw. the movement is clearly visible.
