Are they the stock dunlops? If so, I'd ditch them in favor of snow tires. I ran the stockers all last winter and was constantly sliding around and getting stuck (usually couldn't get out of drive). This year I invested in some Michelin X-Ice's and there's a huge difference. But then again I live in NY, so if there's not too much snow you might be safe.

Well, yeah, the stockers suck but her car is a '99. If they are still on the car I guarantee there would be a little sliding around.
Pros are no better or worse than any small FWD car.
Just make sure you have good rubber.

The pro is the worst FWD car in snow ever!
Im not even playing around. The 99-00 have the real problems, the newer guys^^ have revised suspention geometry and abs and other such things to save there lives.
We do not. Invest in snow tires, youll be happy. If your a really good driver a set of more winter oriented all seasons are also fine (read thin with big treads). Take it easy on the brake and be sure to down shift to slow down. Ive also found over inflating the tires, helps alot in snow.
Ive had to deal with sliding down hills with no stopping in sight. Then trying to work my way back up thouse hills to find I cant get the traction to climb them. Then again youll probubly be fine its just that im in NJ.The pro is so well made that I always seem to slide strait down or strait up. Its very interesting. It doesnt pull to one side like most cars.

I am gonna have to disagree with you guys here. We get a ton of snow where I am from in Canada, and I have never had a problem running my all-seasons in the winter time. They aren't the original ones that came with the car, they were put on just before I bought the car 3 years ago. They are Hankooks.....don't remember the exact type though. Anyways, they are good on ice and in snow. We just got dumped with 8" in the last 2 days and I had zero problems getting around.
However maybe I am just used to driving in the snow. I am from Canada after all. (thumb)
