I found this the other night and I wasn't sure if anyone had posted yet or not so here you go.

I like it, it keeps the original lines of the car while adding a nice bit of style. Nothing drastic. In the last picture it looks like they've made a carbon rear lip spoiler.

They also have an english version of the Autoexe site. If you want to see the japanese site translated to english just do a search through google and translate it.

as I was informed, isn't the strut bar on a 6 essentially useless? we already have something integrated into the frame. I'm not sure if its the same on the ms6

Yep speed just added pieces(@ 120 points IIRC) to what we already had.

Question.. is that exhaust all show? Is there any specs on the gains for it?

I went to the web site and they have a .wav file of the sound... Sounds quiet for an aftermarket exhaust.

Anyone know if it's designed just for show?

AutoEXE does such nice stuff... AE > Veilside IMO

Being you are turboed it shouldn't be as loud as the 6i was. Hopefully sound clips do surface.

what about those mirrors on the top car?

If you go to Corksport's site under the 6/Atenza exterior section, the have those mirror covers for sale, which also happen to be by AutoEXE. Here's the link for them: http://corksport.com/store/category/5iwm/ate-exterior_misc.html they are like the third item down.

Enjoy!

* Link edited...Let's try to keep info "in-house" by posting THE info/image instead of THE link...Thanks!

Assuming that link works... Thats a GREAT example of a good CF grill install. Painted! I won't get into what I think about the lip kit... maybe if someone painted it... but I doubt it...

CF is supposed to be a performance item... Light weight material to replace heavy metals... Lighter car = faster... Sadly it seems most are finding any little CF part they can slap on.. just to get the out of place, black and grey checkerboard effect...

The best looking CF body parts.. are those which are partly painted... so they blend with the vehicle at least a little... A few people have CF hoods, painted either on the middle section or the outter sections.. leaving a strip of CF showing... So much more professional looking...

Where exactly is the painted CF grill on that link you posted? All the pics are of unpainted grills.

..and you won't get into what you think of unpainted cf? You already did. Lighter = faster car I agree....how much does that system of yours weigh?

Umm... the first grill on the first page... right when you click on it... Look closely.... It is painted... Not completely... but looks really good....

If you look at the autoexe one.... It is completely black, from the tip of the hood, to the bumper just above the plate holder.... The one in the link I posted has painted parts between the hood and the black grill... Its also a different "setup" as far as how many lines in the grill it has...

Yeah I made a quick statement about what it is SUPPOSED to be used for... however I don't want to start a big thread fighting about CF parts and what people REALLY get them for in a lot of situations... 10 ounce CF grill doesn't do shit... CF Mirrors don't do shit... CF shift knobs don't do shit... but like I said don't wanna get into it)

My Speed6 weighs in at 3880 with driver... Not sure how much it is stock.. however 2 12's... and a ton of dynomat don't help.... Then again I woulda gotten an Evo MR if I wanted a light... and fast car =)

I guess my issue is that everyone has different tastes and most people seem to realize that except you - you seem to think that your tastes in mods are the only correct ones...and you seem to interject in countless threads how right your perspective is and how ugly or wrong everyone else's tastes are. For example the cf aesthetic mods you listed don't offer a performance gain, but alot of people like them and so they will put them on their cars. Yor angel eye mod is in the same category as is your system (well actually your system degrades the car's performance) but people don't post how stupid or wrong those mods are, whereas you always do... When I look at the things you have done to your car, I can appreciate what you did - even if I wouldn't do anything like it....its your car, and I'm not going to post how stupid you are for doing what you wanted to your car - as someone else has posted already "your always talking smack" about what someone did to their car...and frankly you don't seem to realize how annoying that is...or the concept of the pot calling the kettle black...

O.o

I don't tell someone i'm sorry when they lose a parent.. or family member... That i never knew... and had no relation with.. bla bla bla... Its a "custom" i don't follow...

In the same idea, I don't tell someone, something they've done looks good unless I think it does. I try to post useful information about someones questions or ideas... and add a bit of my own opinions in the mix.

And I like to think that the mazdaspeed6 people are like "family" in a sense... And I want nothing more than all of us to look and perform our best! If I see a speed6 with APC decals allover the place I will flame the living shit out of them... Why? Because it degrades from the family. Some might not agree... And they are more than welcome to put their .02 cents in.

If I modify my vehicle, and someone has a different opinion I would love to hear it. I wish I would have gotten on here before I bought my stereo. Lots of people posted negative comments about my choice in equipment... Some were completely right... others were just opinions... but all were useful in one way or another.

I have posted this autoexe kit around on a lot of forums.. and shown a lot of people... Aside from a small group... most think it looks awful... The Evo / STI group I haing out with and the forums I talk with some of them on still laugh about it.

I will admit, I do have a problem accepting some peoples "tastes" about some items... for example this auto-exe kit which I think is probably the most awful looking mod i've seen on any car. The guy with the cardboard bodykit and 10 foot rear wing looked better... if not only because it was meant as a joke and everyone took it that way! I assume this autoexe kit is not a joke.... I could be wrong...

The AutoEXE kit isn't an all-out performance mod. It's subtle but effective in separating a particular MS6 from other MS6's. Furthermore the lip spoiler is more than likely functional to some degree at highway cruising speeds. Like you posted in this thread or another, "not everyone has to like stereo equipment" but in the end it's not their car anyway so who cares what they think. What matters is that they respect someones choice.

I do disagree with the comment about the MS6 and the whole family thing. I think it's a little silly to blast someone to pieces because someone else may think that they have made a poor choice with their selection of parts. Saying that they're degrading the Mazdaspeed 6 family is probably the silliest statement I've hear on this board in a while.

So before blasting someone for their choice of modifications, just remember that they saw something they liked and wanted to put it on their car. Doing this doesn't make them a ricer or an idiot, it means that they're a car fanatic. If we want to voice an opinion, please have some tact and respect for another individual.

Man someone brought the rice...

Front lip spoilers = rice
Rear wings = rice
Carbon fiber = out in '99 = rice
Painted carbon fiber = out in '03 = rice
Ground effects = rice
Neons = rice

I can think of soooo many other things to spend $300+ on that actually add functionality to the car, if I wanted to slow my car down with a ton of drag, I would go buy a parachute. This stuff is all show and slow go.

Now if they told me that front spoiler added 50hp ide but it in a heart beat, ide even pay an extra $20 for the 13hp vtec sticker.

Great post! Anything that doesn't add horsepower or performance in some other aspect is useless.

The point of CF parts is not only to make the car look nicer but to reduce weight. And let me guess the MSP in this pic is rice because it has a front lip and a spoiler. I guess the guys from tri-point put on the spoiler and the lip for shits and giggles.

Wow,re-reading some of the silly negative comments people of here make reminds me of why I stopped visiting the message boards for a while.

"Closed minded auto enthusiasts"

I personally like the look of unpainted (but gel/clear coated) carbon fiber, mainly in small subtle areas of course. I'm not as crazy about carbon hoods anymore. Unless its more of a track car like a Lotus or Miata.
