View Full Version : Strut bar Install?

Umm, ive got a 03, ES and im wanting to put a mazdaspeed strut bar in it. ive got the two black brackets but everyone says you have to cut the cruise control bracket, but i dont know where.. can someone help me out.

not sure how others have done it but here some quick pics i took on where i cut. Cant remember how much is cut underneath the strut bar but you can get an idea.

Alright i took a pic of that bracket i have to cut, did you but yours like this?

lol it would really help if you could... pop your strut bar off and take a pic.. (2thumbs) gotta figure this out and i dont want to cut 10 different times.. know what i mean

If you get the strut bar new from Mazda it contains the necessary relocation brackets for the cruise control. There are part numbers for the pieces you need, unfortunately I am about 4,000 miles away from my information right now. Someone else on here should be able to help you out though.

I think the cut is more like this..

its the corner piece that restricts the bar from sitting right. Give me a little while and ill grab a flashlight and get the exact lines for you, need a smoke anyway.

Whats the difference between the official mazdaspeed strut bar and the one from corksport? well other then the price I mean.

umm i got the brackets with the bar someone sold me on here all $50 shipped, yeah well now i got it in its a bitch to put in if you aint got a dremel.. (and have cruise) but if you got a dremel its very easy putting it in with cruise..
