Adjusting the throttle cable...

As it says, I need to adjust my throttle cable. My Pro will idle at 1500 sometimes, and I was starting to get worried, then I played with the throttle from under the hood(pushing it in) and it went back to normal.

To further diagnose it, I got it to idle high again, and pulled back on the gas pedal, and it dropped. However, this isn't very safe in traffic and I would just like to know how to adjust it, or if anyone has any suggestions for its sticking.

yeah mine does the same thing only it idles at around 3K instead of the normal 700 or what ever it is and the only way to get it to stop is to turn the car off.
