im thinking about buying the enkei rs6's for my 3 but im not really sure if they'll fit they're 18x7; offset 38; bolt pattern 5x100/114.3; and the bore diameter is 72.62 so will these fit on my car? im kinda sure they will but im not really that sure bout it.

I think the offset is too low.

Offset is definitely too low. With that wide of a wheel, you'll be rubbing and scraping like crazy.

i have an 04 m3 hatch, i have 18x8 evo style hyper silver offset 35 made by hp racing, they told me the widest you can go with no probs. is 18x7.5 offset 35 with no rubbing, i got mine at ASAA racing on longpoint in houston they can get you any part made for the 3's & install ...
+35 may possibly work, but its not worth it because you will problably rub if you have people in the car or take hard turns.

befor i bought mine i checked with all the different wheel web sites & wheel shops around here. i have two 12" RF p3 subs in a box, an amp, capacitor on a rack i made and still have my spare under there i still don't rub. the 35 offset should not rub unless you plane on loading down your car...

so an offset of 35 is the widest i can go without any probs? so where is ASAA racing
i guess if you dont plan on lowering it, its ok

the lower you go the more offset you will need... i would say 45 or more would be best...
put it this way, i have 17X7's with a +42 offset and i could only have 2 people in the back seat. i tried 3 people once and the rear fenders were 1/4" from the tires.

Depends what tire you put on it... if you have sqaure kuhmo prolly have a slight rub at 42 but if you run with like a yoko prada with a rounded i think you could run a 7inch rim a 40 and maybe in 38 offset.
Whoever said you can run 35 prolly rolled your rear fenders.

so if i plan on lowering the car bout 1.5 inches i should get offset of 45 or more?
Mr. Win

7inch wheel 42 or higher 7.5inch 45 or higher
if you push the rear fenders you can prolly go 38-40

(screwy) i agree
make sure the people that are telling you it will fit are familiar with the car and arent just like, "yeah, it should fit" when it wont

i think i'll go with the enkei rs7 (either silver or athracite) 18x7.5 with an offset of 45 on 225/40 tires(undecided on brand) this is after i put an eibach prokit on it, will this work?

225?? i think itll rub in the rear.
Nope. Quite a few people have gone 225. I plan on doing it myself next time I buy tires.
bacon
12-14-2005, 07:19 PM
so 225 wont rub in the rear even if after i put in the prokit?
Gambino

it wont rub. I have 225/40r18 with 47 offset and sportlines and havent rubbed once in 9 months

yeah i guess i'll go with the 225's then also do i have to worry about negative camber?
goldwing2000

You sure will.
Unfortunately, there's very little you can do about it. Nobody is making a real camber kit yet. Mazdaspeed has some replacement links that will get you about +2° but those are like $250 and are not adjustable.

damn what would be the best suggestion in dealing with the neg camber

(dunno)
There's nothing on the market besides the Mazdaspeed parts. The only other option is to fabricate new upper control arms or find a way to modify the stock ones.
