There are several members who have the Megan cat-back. I'm surprised no one has offered their opinion. If you do a serach there are a few threads about it already.
Good Luck, and welcome.

i bought one off of eBay and so far so good it's been on since this summer and hasn't leaked or cracked on me and is still pretty shiny even though i can't really wash it like i would like to and the sound is still very respectable i would recommend it.

OK, I just bought a protege 2 days ago, gotta stick with Mazda :) (Probe GT is essentially an MX6) Anyways I looked this cat-back up and it says on their actual website it is for a Protege 5. I've also seen an N1 cat-back exhaust for a 02-04 Protege 5. Will both or either of these fit my 01 ES 2.0l sedan? Also, does anyone have this N1 cat-back and how is it? I'm very curious, eager to get building my new car up.

I thought Megan made one for the sedan and the P5--might wanna call them. They are different.

I've got the cat-back on and so does SkinnyJoint. I love it, great deep sound to it all the way through high rpm. One of my favorite mods to the car so far.

OK, well, I just contacted Megan Racing and their technician told me that the Protege 5 and the Protege Sedan share the same chassis, except for the rear door and that their cat-back should fit the sedan version just fine. This leads me to beleive that the N1 cat-back on ebay (half the price) should also fit my 2001 protege ES. Anyone have anymore insite on this subject to make me more comfortable with purchasing the N1 cat-back system? differences between 2001 and 2002 chassis, if any? It would be greatly appreciated.

The Megan technician is an idiot.
The P5 is shorter and the axle-back portion will be shorter.

I ordered my Megan Catback off ebay and had to specify P5. All other brand Catbacks are P5 specific or Sedan specific.
