Hey everyone. I'm a noob I'm just learning about all the performance parts for the protege. I was just wondering what swaps are available for me having a 2000? I know I've heard of the FSZE.... Are there any difficult points with this swap? The other protege bred engines are a given, but what other ones are swappable? Thanks alot. I'll be questionless eventually here, I'm used the the KL series motors haha. Thanks.

None that would prove beneficial, honestly.
like mario said, the FS-ZE won't yield much to you. but if you really want to do a swap, go ahead and post away in the NA section (i think there's a lot more discussion about engine swapping in there)
keep in mind that FS-ZE motor assembly runs on OBD-1, unlike FS-DE which runs on OBD-2.
If indeed you are going to make the swap, you are going to do alot of rewiring.

Yea the motor needs its ecu to prove to be benifical the gains arent worth the cost you might as well boost it.

if you have a 1.6l stick with it and boost it, no swap is worth it ...
